We rarely have pedigree breeds, but our doggies do come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Although some specific pedigree dogs do exist in Macedonia, they have been imported and are generally well cared for and crucially if they do escape and have the chance to mate, it is unlikely to be with their own breed.
With that in mind the vast majority of our dogs we lovingly refer to as Macedonian 57 (mixed breed). With puppies we sometimes have the luxury of knowing one or both of the parents and will of course discuss with any prospective adopter, the likely size and weight when fully grown.
One advantage of predominantly mixed breeds is that they naturally have a more diverse gene pool. This generally leads to more robust doggies without the breed specific ailments associated with pedigrees.
Ultimately we are looking for loving homes for our furry friends, with people who fall in love with their chosen doggy, and do not care about their parentage.
Please check back if you do not see your perfect forever furry friend, as we regularly rescue new doggies, who are all looking for that perfect home, and that might just be your home.
If none of our current shelter residents takes your fancy but you genuinely would love to give a rescue dog a home, you can register your interest so that we can keep you up to date with any new arrivals and those at our vets who Izzy thinks might be the doggy for you.
When we rescue a new dog they are never taken directly to our "Doggy Barn", as this would risk all our other doggies. They are taken straight to our vets and given a thorough examination and tested for any diseases. If they require any treatment this is begun immediately. They are vaccinated as required and treated for worms and ticks. If they are not microchipped then our vet will also register, microchip them and issues their Pet Passport. The passport is also their official document for all vaccinations etc.
If they are puppies they are kept at the vets until they have had their second vaccination so that we know 100% they cannot pass on any diseases. Only then can they come to our "Doggy Barn", and only then do we advertise them as available.
Please also note that some dogs who are reserved may, for a variety of reasons become available again.

He is a lovely boy, who just wants his own home and family again after being given up because his old family could no longer afford to keep him, and decided the best thing would be for him to be pts 💔 obviously we weren't going to let that happen, so we took him and he's at our doggie barn in North Macedonia 🐾🐾
He is happy, well behaved, lovely natured and just a little shy, bless him❤️
He is great with all our dogs in the Barn and for adoption, he would be very happy living alone or with another gentle resident dog, who could boost his confidence and remind him what having a happy home is like 🏡
He loves people and children, and will quickly learn to trust and love everyone 👍
His breed is mixed, which we loving call 'Macedonian 57' ❤️
He might look like but he isn't a collie, that breed doesn't exist in North Macedonia.
We can speculate...the grey speckles on his leg, might mean that he has a little Bucovina Shepherd in his doggie lineage 🤔 but we don't know for sure, just surmising!! But whatever his mix, he's absolutely gorgeous ❤️❤️

Our gorgeous Sun New Hope girlie JULIA, is looking for a forever home in the UK or EU ❤️🙏🏡
Natasa fortunately found her lying at the side of the road, in agony, left for dead after being hit by a car, leaving her with a broken pelvis and legs.
That was February 2024, and very sadly, in almost 12 months, no one has ever asked about her or made an adoption enquiry 😥💔
Maybe that's because she had a broken pelvis and legs which have healed 100%, but perhaps she's thought of as not perfect 😞 maybe, it's because I said when she has a home, going for gentle walks initially would be a good plan to build up her muscles 👍

This is our gorgeous little Sun New Hope girlie ARRIA who is looking for a forever home in the UK or EU 🏡❤️
This lovely little girlie was found very quickly after she was dumped on the streets by her owners in North Macedonia 😞
Thankfully, she didn't get injured or worse during that time, and apart from being confused, scared, and really hungry, the vet that checked her over said she was fit and healthy.
Because of how cold it is, and how small she is,
Natasa has found a very kind friend who will keep ARRIA at her own home in North Macedonia until she is adopted and transport to her forever home is arranged.
So now, ARRIA is sharing her temporary home with 6 kitty cats, who are all used to dogs, and it is obvious by how ARRIA is with them, that she previously lived with cats and clearly adores them ❤️🐈

Dumped at our Doggy Barn when she was 2 months old, with her 4 brothers Enis, Milo, Jakov and Gjorgji, and 2 sisters; Skylar and Sasha and she has been cared for by Natasa ever since.
Each of our 007 litter are so very similar and all love cuddles and treats.
NOUSKA loves to play, especially with her litter mate Skylar, and for her, that is more fun than having photos taken to find her a wonderful forever home, hence Natasa was only able to take a few of her 😁🏡

Sadly along with other rescues, we notice that finding a forever home for a black dog is almost impossible, people just scroll by, which is so very sad 💔 because she's beautiful in real life, just pictures can never do her justice.
Natasa rescued COCO from a remote village where she had been thrown out like rubbish and fed only on scraps 😔

PHOEBE had a home once, but sadly because she was born with a deformed front leg her original owner decided because they couldn't afford the operation to remove it, they were going to put her to sleep 😔 so we took her👍
After consultation with our vet, we fundraised the money for her amputation to be done and bless her she was quickly back on her paws, happy and healthy ❤️
If you are wondering how she will be in the future, we don't anticipate any problems whatsoever, as long as she gets regular exercise and doesn't gain excess weight 👍
PHOEBE is a very sweet good natured, little girlie who loves being with all our other dogs and happily runs around just like all the others.
She would be happy either as a sole doggie or be a new friend to a resident doggie 🐶❤️🐶 and was lead trained and housetrained, but will need a little reminder but it'll all come back to her 😁

ENYA was found by Natasa when she was a pup, along with 6 others, including Blizz in a remote area where people secretly throw away dogs they don't want and just drive away without a backward glance 😔
Fortunately ENYA and all the other pups were healthy, with no diseases or injuries, just malnourished and frightened.
Our poor girl ENYA has never had a snuggy home, but we're hoping we can get her one because she's very beautiful, gentle, very well behaved and extremely cuddly ❤️
She isn't housetrained, and will need lead work but we don't believe that will be a problem as she's a quick learner and with with love, time and patience will be ok 🐾
ENYA is a calm girl that gets on with all our dogs and plays with all of them, big or small, never a problem at all 🐾

LUCKY was rescued from the streets after his owner just threw him away to fend for himself 😔
You'd think that he'd not like people very much, but the total opposite is true..HE ABSOLUTELY LOVES ❤️❤️
He would be great as a sole dog or with another slightly more dominant one, just to remind him that people are for sharing 👍
He isn't dominant at all, he plays happily with all our other dogs, but would prefer to be around his human, whatever his human is doing ❤️
He loves cuddles and giving you his paw ❤️
He is very distinctive looking dog, and to be honest he looks like two different dogs, one side curly black and grey fur, the other side wavy mostly black fur ❤️
He isn't housetrained, and needs some lead work but he's a smart boy and with love, time and patience he soon will be soon 🐾

She is a slightly older lady, who we rescued from the municipal dog shelter just before she was due to be pts 😔
She's a very nice girl, who did once have a home and really does loves humans❤️
She walks well on a lead, and is obedient and understands commands 🐾
She has spent most of her time with us sharing a kennel box with male dogs, and we feel that she would be much better suited to be adopted either as a sole dog or with only males 🐕👍
Sadly, GOLDIE has never found her forever home, we think because she's a bit older and maybe she's just not cute enough 😔 which is so sad because she really is a good girl ❤️
She's 100% fit and healthy, and we have no concerns about her health 🐾

Our rescuer, Natasa took her as her old family in North Macedonia were leaving the country and didn't want to take her with them, and were planning on putting her to sleep 💔
SIRI is a perfectly heathly happy girl, who gets in with all our dogs in the Doggie barn🐾
She was lead trained and housetrained, but will need a little reminder but it'll all come back to her 😁

This is our handsome Sun New Hope boy, TONY and he's looking for a forever home 🙏🙏🏡
TONY has never had a home, as he was rescued from underneath a portacabin with his mum and 5 siblings when he was 3 months old ❤️
His lovely mum, and 2 siblings are already home in the UK but poor TONY hasn't yet found his forever home but we remain hopeful 👍
TONY is a big fluffy bear, gentle, well behaved but
because he's never had a home of his own, he isn't housetrained, and will need lead work but we don't believe that will be a problem as he's not daft and will with love, time and patience be ok 🐾
He gets on with all our dogs in the Doggie barn, and happily plays with them all 🐾
He loves people including children, and would benefit from a family used to having larger dogs, he's not enormous by any means, but would be better to have space and of course a garden 😁 and would really love his new family to be active 👍

Please check back regularly for all our available little souls.
We often have puppies, who are looked after by our vets until they have had all their tests and vaccinations and are then safe to introduce to our other doggies in the Doggy Barn. Obviously for puppies this is generally 3 months after we have rescued them, once they have received their second vaccination.
The doggies advertised here on the website are fully fit and healthy and are being cared for by Natasa in our Doggy Barn.
Please if you do not see your perfect new forever friend on this page do not lose hope, Natasa is always rescuing new doggies and puppies.
Very few days go by when she doesn't add to our fur babies 🤣🤣
